About The Position

This position is responsible for processing orders and patient charges accurately and in a timely manner. The role involves answering the telephone and call lights, providing information, and relaying messages to patients and staff. The ED Tech/Unit Clerk also directs visitors, maintains medical records, manages supplies, and provides patient care as assigned according to CNA job duties and expectations. Documentation of care provided, maintaining a clean work environment, and participating in performance improvement activities are also key aspects of this role. The position may require floating to various units based on identified needs. Additionally, the role involves verifying charge accuracy, facilitating a welcoming environment, assisting with visitor wayfinding, and setting up patient folders and charts.

Requirements

Completion of a CNA program.
Completion of a Unit Clerk course or equivalent on the job training (which can be provided).
Nursing Assistant Certification in applicable state.
Approved CPR or BLS certification within 90 days.
