About The Position

Park Nicollet is looking to hire a ED Crisis Clinician to join our team! The ED Crisis Clinician is a licensed mental health professional who provides essential front-line support within the Emergency Department. Working independently in a fast-paced clinical environment, the clinician delivers immediate crisis assessment, intervention, and short-term therapeutic support to individuals and families experiencing mental health emergencies. Core responsibilities include: Conducting comprehensive clinical assessments. Formulating individualized intervention and referral plans. Determining appropriate levels of care. All services are delivered through a trauma-informed, culturally responsive, and patient-centered lens. In addition to direct clinical care, the ED Crisis Clinician serves as a key resource to the interdisciplinary team, offering consultation on the psychosocial dimensions of patient care. This role is vital in fostering a collaborative, responsive, and compassionate care environment aligned with the organization’s mission and values.

Requirements

  • Master’s degree in Social Work, Psychology, Counseling or other mental health profession
  • 2 or more years of clinical experience in mental health setting
  • Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW)- MN Board of Social Work OR Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist (LMFT)- MN Board of Marriage and Family Therapy OR Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC)- MN Board of Behavioral Health & Therapy OR Licensed Psychologist (LP)- MN Board of Psychology

Nice To Haves

  • Direct clinical experience in an Emergency Department or hospital setting
  • One or more years in mental health crisis intervention
