About The Position

Perform audits of all Main and Madison ED accounts to identify appropriate E/M level, supply charges, pharmacy charges and CPT coded procedures for services provided in the ED’s; manual charge entry for appropriate charges based on Cerner documentation; perform audits of ED charts and accounts to determine charge corrections; processes appropriate charge corrections on accounts; provides required information regarding drug charge discrepancies to appropriate Pharmacy personnel.

Requirements

3 years clinical experience in a hospital or physician office setting
Effective communication skills with internal hospital departments
Must be able to effectively and accurately manage a large volume of medical records
High school diploma or GED required

Nice To Haves

Alabama nursing license (RN or LPN) preferred
Prior clinical experience will be considered in lieu of license
Prior medical experience preferred
