About The Position
Join Baylor Scott and White Medical Center - Centennial as a Registered Nurse and be part of something better! Our Emergency Department unit is a fast-paced environment that includes high acuity patients. We foster an environment that supports learning, mentoring, and building every team member. The patient population includes patients of all acuities, ages, and stages of life. The Emergency Department sees 20k visits per year, is a Level III Trauma Center, Primary Heart Attack Center, Primary Stroke Center, and has in-house L&D services. The unit has won the National Certification Champion Award from the Board Certification of Emergency Nursing (BCEN) with a 56% certification rate, 100% Board Certified Emergency Physicians, and a strong unit engagement through an active Shared Governance Council.
Requirements
- Completed an established program in Nursing.
- Registered Nurse License.
- Basic Life Support certification within 30 days of being hired.
Nice To Haves
- 2 years ED RN experience.
- 1 year lead / Charge experience.
Responsibilities
- Provide care to patients of all acuities, ages, and stages of life in a fast-paced Emergency Department environment.
- Participate in a learning and mentoring environment.
- Contribute to unit engagement through active participation in the Shared Governance Council.
