About The Position

The ECSE Curriculum & Clinical Support Coordinator-BCBA serves as a curriculum and instructional consultant for the Early Childhood Special Education (ECSE) Program at Abundant Life Family Services. This position provides expertise in curriculum development, instructional coaching, classroom quality, and educational programming to support high-quality preschool special education services for children ages 3–5. Leveraging expertise in special education and applied behavior analysis, the Coordinator collaborates with teachers, Licensed Behavior Specialists (LBSs), therapists, and program leadership to ensure classrooms implement evidence-based instructional practices, positive behavior supports, and developmentally appropriate educational programming that promote school readiness, child engagement, and meaningful developmental outcomes. As an independent contractor, the Coordinator provides professional consultation, recommendations, and deliverables while maintaining independence in the methods used to fulfill the agreed-upon scope of services.

Requirements

  • Master's Degree in Special Education, Early Childhood Education, Curriculum & Instruction, Education, Applied Behavior Analysis, or a closely related field.
  • Active Pennsylvania Special Education Teaching Certification.
  • Active Pennsylvania Instructional Teaching Certification.
  • Active Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) certification in good standing with the Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB).
  • Pennsylvania Licensed Behavior Specialist (LBS) credential, or eligibility to obtain the credential if required by Pennsylvania regulations.
  • Minimum of five (5) years of experience in special education.
  • Experience teaching preschool-aged children with disabilities.
  • Experience developing curriculum and instructional materials.
  • Experience coaching teachers and educational staff.
  • Experience supporting children with autism spectrum disorder and other developmental disabilities.
  • Demonstrated experience integrating Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) principles into educational programming.
  • Experience collaborating within multidisciplinary educational and clinical teams.
  • Expertise in preschool special education and child development.
  • Strong understanding of curriculum design and instructional best practices.
  • Knowledge of Pennsylvania Early Learning Standards and preschool special education regulations.
  • Expertise in IEP implementation and specially designed instruction.
  • Advanced knowledge of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) and Positive Behavior Supports.
  • Strong coaching, consultation, observation, and mentoring skills.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication abilities.
  • Ability to analyze educational data and recommend instructional improvements.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, review, and enhance curriculum for all ECSE classrooms.
  • Ensure curriculum aligns with Pennsylvania Early Learning Standards, Pennsylvania Department of Education requirements, IEP goals and specially designed instruction, and evidence-based instructional practices for preschool children with disabilities.
  • Review weekly lesson plans to ensure alignment with curriculum goals and developmental standards.
  • Develop instructional resources, classroom materials, and learning activities.
  • Recommend curriculum modifications based on classroom observations, child progress, and teacher feedback.
  • Support implementation of developmentally appropriate practices that promote school readiness.
  • Provide instructional coaching and consultation to ECSE teachers and classroom staff.
  • Support teachers in implementing evidence-based instructional strategies and differentiated instruction.
  • Coach staff on integrating behavioral supports within classroom instruction.
  • Assist teachers with classroom organization, instructional routines, and student engagement.
  • Provide recommendations to improve instructional effectiveness and classroom management.
  • Participate in educational planning meetings and collaborative problem-solving sessions.
  • Conduct classroom observations to evaluate instructional quality, curriculum implementation, and classroom management practices.
  • Assess student engagement, instructional practices, learning environments, and educational routines.
  • Identify strengths and opportunities for improvement.
  • Provide written recommendations to the ECSE Program Supervisor.
  • Promote consistency and fidelity across ECSE classrooms.
  • Collaborate with ECSE teachers, Licensed Behavior Specialists (LBSs), speech-language pathologists, occupational therapists, and other related service providers.
  • Provide consultation regarding classroom behavior supports and instructional interventions.
  • Assist with integrating Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) principles into educational programming.
  • Review classroom behavior support strategies to ensure consistency with IEPs and behavior plans.
  • Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings and case consultations.
  • Review classroom and child outcome data to identify instructional trends.
  • Recommend curriculum enhancements and classroom improvements.
  • Assist leadership with educational quality improvement initiatives.
  • Support implementation of school readiness practices and inclusive instructional models.
  • Provide consultation on evidence-based educational and behavioral practices for preschool learners.
