About The Position
The Clark County School District is seeking an ECSE Autism-KIDS Teacher for the 2026-2027 school year at Ries Elementary School. This position is within the Special Education department, focusing on self-contained classrooms for students with autism.
Requirements
- Valid Nevada teaching license with an endorsement in Special Education (ECSE Autism).
- Bachelor's degree in Special Education or a related field.
- Experience working with students with autism.
- Knowledge of evidence-based practices for teaching students with autism.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with a team.
Nice To Haves
- Master's degree in Special Education or a related field.
- Experience with Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) principles.
- Bilingual skills (English/Spanish).
Responsibilities
- Provide specialized instruction and support to students with autism in a self-contained classroom setting.
- Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) to meet the unique needs of each student.
- Collaborate with parents, guardians, and other professionals to support student learning and development.
- Assess student progress and adjust instructional strategies as needed.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation.
- Participate in professional development and team meetings.
