About The Position

Rigid Tactical is seeking a highly skilled and Qualified ECS Weapons-based Instructor I JET Phase Lead to spearhead the Phase IV Expeditionary Warfare component of our training program. We are looking for a versatile tactical leader capable of managing complex, scenario-based instruction ranging from convoy operations to judgment-based use of force. The successful candidate will ensure that Phase IV instructors maintain peak proficiency in specialized disciplines, providing Navy personnel with the critical skills required for survival and success in expeditionary combat environments. Employment is contingent upon contract award. Clearance: Secret eligibility Location: Gulfport, MS.

Requirements

  • Must meet all qualifications required of an ECS Weapons-based Instructor I — JET.
  • JET Topic Instructor qualification: Must be among the minimum 8 of 45 JET-qualified instructors.
  • Minimum 2 years delivering weapons-based courses of instruction, including live-fire and force-on-force training.
  • Completed an approved Small Arms Instructor Course per OPNAVINST 3591.1 paragraph 11.
  • Must achieve and maintain Sharpshooter qualification on M18 Service Pistol and M4 Carbine semi-annually (every 180 days).
  • Line Coach (Small Arms): Must complete PQS per NAVEDTRA 43466 within 90 days of reporting.
  • Minimum 2 years documented tactical military operational experience in all ECS topic areas.
  • Minimum 2 years of formal instructor experience with completion of NITC (A-012-0077) or equivalent.
  • U.S. Citizenship required (per DoD Manual 5200.02).
  • Valid driver's license; CDL required (FMCSA ELDT-compliant).
  • Ability to pass medical and psychological screening per OPNAVINST 1500.75 and NETCINST 1500.13.
  • Must pass AA&E Screening (OPNAV 5530/1) within 60 days of hire and annually thereafter.
  • Drug-free; must pass pre-employment urinalysis at a DHHS-certified lab.
  • Current Basic First Aid and CPR certification (classroom-based).
  • Full compliance with the Lautenberg Amendment.

Responsibilities

  • Perform all duties of a JET Instructor while managing assignments and scheduling for Phase IV (Expeditionary Warfare) training.
  • Oversee the delivery of JET curriculum, including Combat Mindset/Use of Force (12.50 hours), FATS (3.0 hours), and Field Exercise Simunitions (4.0 hours).
  • Coordinate Convoy Operations instruction (6.0 hours), including practical application for mounted and dismounted movement.
  • Maintain the required instructor counts for Phase IV: 8 JET-qualified, 6 C-IED, 6 CBRNE, 6 Tactical Comms, and 12 Convoy instructors.
  • Monitor CUIT certification progress for all Phase IV instructors.
  • Ensure all personnel comply with AA&E Screening and training requirements.
  • Oversee FATS (Firearms Training Simulator) and Simunitions range operations; ensure RSO Simunitions designations (5 minimum) are maintained.
  • Coordinate Combat Mindset Phase briefs for integration across Phases I, II, and III.
  • Manage 8 CDL-certified bus drivers assigned to Phase IV operations.
  • Contribute to Monthly Status Report (MSR) Sections 3 and 4 for all assigned instructors.
  • Enforce all CENSECFOR safety policies and Emergency Action Plans during high-risk force-on-force training.
