About The Position

Secretariat is a leading global expert services and consulting firm, trusted by premier law firms, corporations, and government agencies to advise on complex economic, financial, regulatory, and strategic issues. Within our Economics practice, PhD economists and experts apply rigorous, independent analysis to high-stakes disputes where clarity, precision, and credibility matter. For more than four decades, Secretariat has built a reputation for analytical depth, trusted expert testimony, and sophisticated insight across complex litigation and arbitration matters. Our professionals work at the intersection of economic theory, empirical analysis, and real-world decision-making, helping clients understand critical questions with discipline, objectivity, and intellectual rigor. If you are completing your PhD and considering how to apply your training beyond academia, we would be excited to get to know you. This role offers the opportunity to use the research, data, and problem-solving skills you have developed in graduate school to contribute to meaningful client work from the start. We welcome candidates from all economics fields and value the curiosity, persistence, and analytical judgment that PhD candidates bring. At Secretariat, you will join a collegial, high-performing environment where your ideas are valued and your growth is taken seriously. We offer competitive compensation, comprehensive benefits, substantive mentorship, and a flexible work model with opportunities to work from one of our U.S. offices. As you consider the next step after your PhD, we want you to feel supported, challenged, and excited about the career you can build here.
