About The Position

Tutors are expected to assist current LSOC-225 students with questions/concerns regarding course material. As such, they should enjoy working with other students in a learning environment. Tutors must be able to understand the students’ questions, and to explain proper problem-solving skills. Additionally, they must also be able to explain the main economic concepts covered in LSOC-225, including supply and demand, pricing, employment, and financial management.

Requirements

• Current student at Berklee College of Music or Boston Conservatory at Berklee.
• Enrolled at least half-time in a degree, diploma, or certificate-seeking undergraduate or graduate program (exceptions apply for summer employment with pre-registration for fall).
• Have a valid United States Social Security Number (SSN).
• Remain in “valid” Visa status as applicable.
• A minimum 2.0 cumulative GPA (first-semester students are exempt until completion of their first semester).
• Federal Work Study students may apply.
• In good disciplinary standing.
• Must be located in the U.S.
• A grade of ‘B’ or better in LSOC-225 OR the equivalent.
