The Louisiana Department of Health's mission is to protect and promote health and to ensure access to medical, preventive, and rehabilitative services for all residents of the State of Louisiana. The Economic Stability (ES) Specialist plays a critical role in supporting the department's ability to complete federally mandated Quality Control case reviews for the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP), Disaster Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (DSNAP), and other related initiatives. This position helps ensure reviews are conducted accurately, efficiently, and in compliance with federal requirements and established deadlines. Applicants must clearly describe their experience with specific Economic Stability, Medicaid programs, etc. and/or identify the section or unit in which they performed economic stability social services work (e.g., SNAP/Economic Stability, Child Care Assistance Program, Strategies to Empower People, Family Independence Temp Assistance, Medicare/Medicaid, etc.) within their job duties.
