About The Position

The mission of the Louisiana Department of Health is to protect and promote health and to ensure access to medical, preventive, and rehabilitative services for all residents of the State of Louisiana. This high-impact leadership role oversees regional operations, workforce strategy, program performance, and service delivery for Economic Stability programs. Requirements

  • Three years of the required experience for the following minimum qualifications must have been at the supervisory level or above in Child Support Enforcement, Child Welfare, or Economic Stability programs: Nine years of social services experience; OR Six years of full-time experience in any field plus six years of social services experience; OR A bachelor's degree plus six years of social services experience; OR An advanced degree in a social sciences field, business, public, or health administration, or a Juris Doctorate plus five years of social services experience.
  • Every 30 semester hours earned from an accredited college or university will be credited as one year of experience towards the six years of full-time work experience in any field. The maximum substitution allowed is 120 semester hours which substitutes for a maximum of four years of experience in any field.

Responsibilities

  • Direct and oversee daily administrative, operational, and service delivery activities for Economic Stability programs throughout the Lake Charles Region.
  • Analyze program performance data and service delivery outcomes to identify trends, improve effectiveness, and ensure established performance goals are achieved.
  • Develop, implement, and monitor strategies, goals, and objectives that support regional priorities and align with agency mission and program expectations.
  • Provide leadership, guidance, and oversight to Economic Stability managers to ensure consistent administration of programs and compliance with policies and procedures.
  • Evaluate regional operations and quality assurance measures, identify areas for improvement, and implement solutions to enhance program performance and customer service.
  • Lead workforce management activities, including interviewing, hiring, promoting, training, coaching, and developing staff to support organizational success.
  • Monitor employee performance, leave usage, and overtime; address performance concerns and recommend or initiate corrective and disciplinary actions in accordance with applicable policies and regulations.
