About The Position

Begin your career as our Economic Development Analyst 1 with the Department of Community and Economic Development, where you will play a key part in supporting projects that strengthen neighborhoods and towns. This position centers on reviewing, monitoring, and supporting federal HOME and HUD special purpose grants within the Center for Community and Housing Development. It helps ensure that funded projects follow complex federal and state rules while meeting community needs.

Requirements

• A bachelor's degree in business or administration or a related field; or An equivalent combination of experience and training.
• One or more years of experience in grant administration in Federal, State, or Local programs
• One or more years of experience performing analytical work
• One or more years of experience in reviewing and evaluating grant applications requesting Federal, State, and/or Local funds
• Must be able to perform essential job functions.

Nice To Haves

• One or more years of experience in grant administration involving affordable housing or community development

Responsibilities

• Evaluate HOME and HUD special purpose grant applications for compliance with complex federal and state requirements
• Enter program information into tracking systems to document compliance with federal requirements
• Prepare and present compliance training for local grantees, administrators, and staff
• Review grantee reports, budgets, project changes, and conduct remote and on-site monitoring
• Provide detailed assistance to grantees and help resolve issues that delay project progress
