About The Position

The ECommerce Data Analyst role is responsible for ensuring the accuracy and integrity of product data, configuring and maintaining e-commerce platforms, and supporting marketing efforts through data analysis and reporting. This role involves working with various departments to understand data needs, performing quality assurance testing, executing A/B tests, and creating dashboards to provide actionable insights. The analyst will play a crucial part in supporting major product launches and catalogue changes, ensuring that the e-commerce infrastructure can support business requirements and that data is clean, current, and trustworthy.

Requirements

  • A degree in Business Admin or Analytics, or 2 years' experience in a data analytics role
  • Strong foundational knowledge of DTC eCommerce businesses.
  • Advanced knowledge of Google Sheets and SQL.
  • Technical expertise regarding data models, database design development, data mining, and segmentation techniques.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Adept at queries, report writing, and presenting findings.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Working experience with databases such as SQL and data processes such as ETL frameworks is an asset.

Responsibilities

  • Configure and maintain Shopify application infrastructure, including Marketing apps (coupons, channels, upsells), CX apps (help desk, customer data, tagging), Shipping (rates, availability rules), and Shopify automations (Fraud Prevention, Flow).
  • Collaborate with other departments to collect and assess data needs, identifying opportunities for new solutions.
  • Collect and communicate requirement scoping for prioritization with the data team and other departments.
  • Perform eCommerce data and merchandising QA testing during major launches and catalogue changes.
  • Support product data feeds and catalogues, ensuring accuracy and relevance through regular checks.
  • Execute A/B tests for marketing performance, such as post-purchase funnels, shipping range testing, and GWP incentives.
  • Own universal data accuracy by regularly reviewing for changes in data structure that could impact downstream reporting.
  • Create new and maintain existing marketing and interdepartmental dashboards, from documenting required sources & KPIs to producing draft dashboards for testing.
  • Service data requests by performing ELT tasks (extract, load, transform) for customer, order, margin, performance, or product data.
