About The Position
The ECMO Coordinator supervises, trains, and leads technical staff. The role is also responsible for quality control and improvement, equipment surveillance and maintenance, patient data management, and management of the ELSO Registry.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree.
- 3–5 years of critical care experience.
- Strong knowledge of ECMO equipment, procedures, patient care, and troubleshooting.
- Understanding of coagulation, medications, blood disorders, and medical conditions related to ECMO.
- Excellent communication, teamwork, and leadership skills.
- Ability to remain calm and lead a healthcare team during critical situations.
- Active Florida Registered Nurse (RN) license or Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification.
Nice To Haves
- Advanced critical care and ECMO experience.
- Critical Care Registered Nurse (CCRN) certification.
- Adult Critical Care Specialist (ACCS) certification for Respiratory Therapists.
