Echocardiographer- Part Time
About The Position
Sentara Heart Hospital is seeking to hire a qualified individual to join our team as an Echocardiographer. This is a Part Time position with 16 weekly hours, working 8-hour shifts from 7:00 am to 3:30 pm. On Call is required. The Echocardiographer will perform Echo and Stress Echo tests, Transesophageal (TEE) Echocardiogram, and Doppler ultrasound. The role involves working in the Cardiac Non-Invasive Lab, EP and Cath Lab, OR, ICU, and at the patient's bedside. The primary duties include performing two-dimensional echocardiograms, Doppler echocardiograms, transesophageal echocardiograms, and pharmacological stress echocardiograms to evaluate heart and vessel abnormalities. The technologist will also complete the technologist report in the structured report application.
Requirements
- High School Grad or Equivalent (required)
- Graduate of an accredited echocardiography program (or equivalent education) in accordance with IAC Guidelines (required)
- Adult echocardiography registry (RCCS or RCS or RDCS) required within 12 months of hire
- BLS (Required within 90 days)
- ACLS (Required within 90 days)
- Echocardiographer experience (1 year minimum required)
Responsibilities
- Perform Echo and Stress Echo tests
- Perform Transesophageal (TEE) Echocardiogram
- Perform Doppler ultrasound
- Work in Cardiac Non-Invasive Lab, EP and Cath Lab, OR, ICU
- Work with patients at the bedside
- Perform two-dimensional echocardiograms, Doppler echocardiograms, transesophageal echocardiograms and pharmacological stress echocardiograms to evaluate heart and vessel abnormalities for the evaluation of heart disease and blood flow abnormalities
- Complete the technologist report in the structured report application
