About The Position
Performs ultrasonic imaging and related procedures to demonstrate cardiac anatomy and function for interpretation by a physician, aiding the diagnosis and treatment of cardiovascular disease.
Requirements
- Graduate of a Committee of Allied Health Education and Accreditation (CAHEA)-accredited ultrasound program specializing in echocardiography.
- Certification in echocardiography by the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers or an equivalent certification.
- One year of experience as an echocardiographer, with emphasis on stress echocardiography, transesophageal echocardiography, and two-dimensional echocardiography with and without Doppler.
- CPR certification.
Responsibilities
- Perform ultrasonic imaging and related procedures to demonstrate cardiac anatomy and function.
- Provide imaging for physician interpretation to aid in the diagnosis and treatment of cardiovascular disease.
