About The Position

Biltmore Cardiology - Chandler is seeking an Echo/Vascular Tech to use high-frequency sound waves to produce vascular ultrasound images and related data used by physicians to render medical diagnoses. The role prepares patients and equipment, performs diagnostic ultrasound procedures in accordance with protocols, communicates technical findings to physicians, and supports accurate billing, patient safety, equipment maintenance, and other clinical functions.

Requirements

Associate of Arts degree.
One year of experience in a clinical setting.
ARDMS, BLS, and RVT certifications; alternatively, registry eligibility with registration required within 12 months.

Nice To Haves

ICVAL certification preferred.

Responsibilities

Adhere to Tenet Physician Resources' mission, purpose, philosophy, objectives, policies, and procedures.
Follow the HIPAA Compliance Plan, Privacy Standards, and Corporate Compliance Program Code of Conduct.
Set up equipment and prepare patients for examinations.
Select the appropriate transducer type and frequency for each examination.
Obtain and review pertinent patient history and clinical data to facilitate diagnosis.
Perform diagnostic procedures by producing and evaluating ultrasound images in accordance with protocols.
Provide physicians with an oral or written summary of technical findings.
Complete billing paperwork and coding accurately, including log sheets and authorizations.
Ensure patient safety and maintain and clean equipment according to manufacturer guidelines.
Manage testing supplies and assist with other clinical functions as directed.
