About The Position

St. George Regional Hospital is seeking a New Graduate Echo / Vascular Sonographer to join their collaborative and experienced imaging team. This full-time role offers strong clinical exposure, a supportive team environment, and the opportunity to grow skills while providing high-quality cardiovascular care to a diverse patient population. As a Level II Trauma Center and regional referral hospital, St. George Regional serves patients across southern Utah, southeastern Nevada, and northwestern Arizona, providing new graduates with meaningful experience early in their careers. Requirements

  • ARDMS or CCI certification in cardiac or vascular sonography
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification for healthcare providers

Responsibilities

  • Demonstrate technical competence following departmental performance protocols.
  • Prioritize and schedule exams in coordination with physicians, caregivers, and patients.
  • Prepare patients by verifying identification, educating patients and families, and transporting patients as needed.
  • Perform ultrasound exams consistent with established protocols and timelines.
  • Ensure patient safety, comfort, and high-quality diagnostic outcomes.
  • Communicate effectively throughout the exam with physicians, caregivers, patients, and families.
  • Return patients to rooms post-exam and ensure stability and safety.
  • Accurately document exam results and related information.
  • Apply appropriate charge codes for exams and supplies.
  • Clean and maintain ultrasound equipment and work areas.
  • Stock supplies and coordinate repair or supply needs through appropriate channels.
