About The Position

This technical position performs all types of Echocardiography and Cardiovascular Ultrasound. The technologist is able to troubleshoot problems; as well as other duties as assigned. The technologist is able to process work into computer system and interacts with Cardiologists.

Requirements

• High School Diploma required.
• OJT – Ultrasound procedures and/or registry eligible.
• Registered diagnostic sonographer (RCVT and/or RDCS).
• Cardiac anatomy knowledge.
• One (1) to two (2) years clinical echo/vascular experience or graduate of an approved ultrasound school.
• Managerial skills.
• Numerical ability.
• Program presentation and training skills.
• Communication skills.
• Typing and dictation skills.
• Mechanically inclined.
• Public Relations aptitude.
• Ability to teach/explain/instruct.
• Clerical accuracy.
• BLS required must be completed prior to end of orientation period.
