About The Position

Founded by a diagnostic imaging professional, the company focuses on patient-centered ultrasound, echocardiogram, and diagnostic imaging services, while supporting work-life balance for technologists. The Echo Technologist performs ultrasound diagnostic studies according to accepted protocols, primarily in emergency department settings at hospitals and freestanding facilities. The role requires independent work, professional communication with patients and clinical staff, safe operation of ultrasound equipment, and the physical ability to perform examinations and assist with patient movement. This position is PRN in Aston, Pennsylvania.

Requirements

At least 1 year of imaging experience after graduation.
Current ARDMS RDCS or CCI RCS certification.
Valid driver's license.
BLS/CPR certification.
Professionalism and strong interpersonal communication skills.
Self-motivation and ability to work independently.
Must pass required hospital-employment health requirements, including drug screening and background check.
Comfort with cardiac procedures.
Ability to use mobile phone devices and applications.
Knowledge of cross-sectional anatomy and physiology sufficient to pinpoint imaging areas.
Knowledge of common safety hazards and precautions to establish a safe work environment.
Ability to act calmly and effectively in busy, stressful, or emergency situations.
Ability to communicate effectively in English in person, by phone, and in writing.
Adherence to policies and procedures, including safety, attendance, punctuality, and personal appearance standards.
Ability to operate ultrasound equipment and maintain quality-control standards.
Ability to work with minimal to no supervision and to multitask efficiently and effectively.
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with patients, client-facility medical staff, management, and peers.
Ability to maintain the mental acuity, situational awareness, and decision-making needed for patient assessment, image acquisition, prioritization, and communication with the care team.
Ability to safely lift and move 30 pounds independently and assist with patient positioning, transfers, and mobility activities.
Strong organizational and interpersonal skills, including managing interactions with people in difficult or stressful situations.
Excellent communication skills.
Physical ability to perform the listed demands, including prolonged standing and walking; bending, stooping, twisting, reaching, and repositioning patients; occasional squatting, kneeling, and working in confined or awkward spaces; lifting and carrying equipment; pushing and pulling medical equipment; assisting with patient transfers and positioning; repetitive upper-extremity and fine-motor movements; sustained or awkward postures; continuous visual concentration and hand-eye coordination; and endurance for multiple examinations throughout the workday.

Contact the assigned facility with an estimated arrival time and arrive within the prescribed timeframe.
Follow prescribed safety standards when operating equipment.
Maintain work areas in compliance with client standards.
Maintain accurate records, reports, and files as directed.
Document work processes as required.
Perform other duties as assigned.
