About The Position

The Echo Technologist - Inpatient shall be responsible for operation of the Echocardiography Lab and support of Stress Lab. The Technologist shall utilize proper sonographic technique in conjunction with departmental protocols to demonstrate pertinent patient anatomy and pathology to assist the physician in interpretation. This individual shall be responsible for performance of all cardiac and neonate cranial studies and clerical functions associated with preparation of data for physician interpretation and reporting to the medical record. This position may have additional duties assigned that are in scope of the role.

Requirements

• High school graduate or equivalent required.
• Active ARDMS Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer certification or CCI Registered Cardiac Sonographer required.
• BLS required.
• Must possess reasoning ability and good independent judgment.
• Must have the ability to work within rigid time constraints.
• Must be aware of patient conditions at all times.
• Must demonstrate effective communication skills.

Nice To Haves

• Graduate of a School of Diagnostic Ultrasound preferred.
