About The Position

Simple Staffing is hiring for this position on behalf of C-health (a WELL Health Diagnostic Centres company). WELL Health Diagnostic Centres, previously C-health, is looking for a skilled and certified Echo Technologist who will be responsible for processing and testing patients for 2D Echos. IV insertion is preferred but not mandatory.

Requirements

0-2 years of related experience – open to hiring new graduates!
Candidates must be ARDMS or Sonography Canada certified (Registration with ACMDTT is required).
Current CPR certificate.
Ability to perform various Echocardiogram machines (primarily Philips iE33, GE Vivid s6, GE Vivid E9)
Strong organizational and interpersonal skills.
Demonstrated commitment to continuing education and training.
Demonstrate effective decision-making and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
A cheerful, positive attitude and the ability to work effectively with others as well as the ability to work independently and treat everyone with respect, dignity, and kindness.

Nice To Haves

IV insertion is preferred but not mandatory.
The ability to perform Stress and Contrast Echocardiograms is an asset.

Responsibilities

Responsible for ensuring patient identification, safety and preparation are correct prior to a scan while maintaining patient confidentiality.
Greet patient, explain forthcoming tests, position patient and generally prepare him/her for the examination.
Observe patient during the diagnostic procedure, making note of any symptoms or changes in vital signs and summoning medical aid when necessary.
Ensure all quality control assessments are performed as required. Take all reasonable precautions and work in compliance with related policies, health and safety legislation, and best practices.
Confirm procedures for proper equipment maintenance are completed in accordance with department standards.
Ensure equipment and instruments are performing in an efficient and effective manner.
Prepare and organize reports as required.
Other duties as assigned.
