About The Position

The Echo Technician performs cardiac ultrasound examinations independently, including transthoracic, transesophageal, and stress echocardiograms. The role requires technical proficiency in performing studies, along with maintaining equipment function and following safety policies and procedures. The technician may also assist with stress tests in the stress lab.

Requirements

• Basic Cardiac Life Support certification must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
• Associate degree, vocational school graduate, or certificate.
• Must be registered with the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS) or Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI) within 6 months of hire or transfer into the position.

Nice To Haves

• Minimum of one year of experience in echocardiography is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform cardiac ultrasound examinations without supervision, including transthoracic, transesophageal, and stress echocardiograms.
• Apply technical skills in conducting echocardiography studies.
• Maintain equipment function and follow safety policies and procedures.
• May assist with stress tests in the stress lab.
