About The Position
Roxborough Memorial Hospital, a member of Prime Healthcare, is seeking an Echo Tech. The hospital is a 131-bed community hospital that has been serving the medical and health care needs of the Roxborough, Manayunk, East Falls and northwest section of Philadelphia communities for over a century, having first opened its doors in 1890. Roxborough Memorial Hospital's School of Nursing has been educating nurses since 1898. The hospital is accredited by the Joint Commission on the Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations, the nation's oldest and largest hospital accreditation agency.
Requirements
- Completion of Echocardiogram program or equivalent training
- Current BCLS (AHA) certificate upon hire and maintain current
- Able to assist physician with TEE testing
- ARDMS or CCI required (effective July 1, 2017)
- Proficient computer skills
Nice To Haves
- Previous experience in performing Echocardiograms of all ages
- Hospital experience in the Cardiology field
Responsibilities
- Uses ultrasound to visualize internal cardiac structures, obtain measurements of cardiac valves, ventricle and left atrium and visualize blood flow.
- Assists the physician with complex ultrasound procedures.
- Promotes the smooth and efficient operation of the Cardiopulmonary Department through the appropriate utilization and management of all clerical functions within the department document handling and disposition, interpersonal relationships and information gathering and dispersion.
