About The Position

Garden City Hospital is seeking an Echo Tech to support its Cardiopulmonary Department. The role uses ultrasound to visualize internal cardiac structures, measure cardiac valves, the ventricle and left atrium, and visualize blood flow. The Echo Tech also assists physicians with complex ultrasound procedures and helps support the department’s smooth and efficient operation through appropriate management of clerical functions, document handling, interpersonal relationships, and information gathering and distribution.

Requirements

• Complete an echocardiogram program within 90 days of hire or have equivalent training.
• Hold a current BCLS certificate upon hire and maintain it.
• Be able to assist a physician with TEE testing.
• Obtain ARDMS or CCI certification within 90 days of hire.
• Have proficient computer skills.

Nice To Haves

• Previous experience performing echocardiograms for patients of all ages.
• Hospital experience in the cardiology field.

Responsibilities
