About The Position

The Echo Tech uses ultrasound to visualize internal cardiac structures, obtain measurements of cardiac valves, the ventricle, and the left atrium, and visualize blood flow. The role assists physicians with complex ultrasound procedures and supports smooth, efficient Cardiopulmonary Department operations through appropriate management of clerical functions, document handling and disposition, interpersonal relationships, and information gathering and dissemination.

It provides medical education to students, residents, and fellows, with graduate medical education programs serving more than 80 trainees. Requirements

• Complete an Echocardiogram program within 90 days of hire or have equivalent training.
• Hold a current BCLS certificate upon hire and maintain it.
• Be able to assist a physician with TEE testing.
• Obtain ARDMS or CCI certification within 90 days of hire, as required effective July 1, 2017.
• Have proficient computer skills.

Nice To Haves

• Previous experience performing echocardiograms for patients of all ages.
• Hospital experience in the Cardiology field.
