About The Position

Jefferson Health Methodist is seeking a Registered Echo Tech (Per Diem) to join their team. This role involves performing echocardiograms and related procedures, interacting with patients and staff, and maintaining equipment. The position requires flexibility to cover vacation time and potentially days before and after holidays. The Echo Tech will be responsible for accurate data logging, equipment maintenance, and maintaining patient images in the EHR.

Requirements

• Registered echo sonographer RCS, or RDMS experience required.
• BLS - Basic Life Support AHA - American Heart Association.
• Effective Communications.

• Echocardiogram experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs echocardiograms – 2D, M-mode, color Doppler according to department policy to comply with physician orders/standard of care.
• Performs trans-esophageal echocardiograms (TEE) on non-operative/intra-operative basis according to department policy to comply with physician orders/standard of care.
• Performs dobutamine stress echocardiograms (DSE), Stress Echocardiograms according to department policy to comply with physician orders/standards of care.
• Logs all pertinent patient/test data to ensure accurate billing/record keeping for the hospital and department.
• Monitors performance/repair of clinical equipment to ensure the quality of all testing and the safety of staff and internal/external customers.
• Maintains images in EHR.
• Cleans/disinfects/sterilizes clinical equipment to ensure staff and internal/external customer safety from pathogens.
• Participates in on call as per department policy.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
