Where You’ll Work Penrose - St. Francis Health Services is a full-service, 712-bed acute care provider in Colorado Springs comprising Penrose Hospital, St. Francis Hospital and St. Francis Hospital - Interquest. Penrose Hospital serves as the anchor hospital of Penrose-St. Francis Health Services with 300-licensed beds and the ability to provide tertiary (high tech) medical-surgical services with an emphasis on elective and outpatient care. Job SummaryProvides specialized cardiovascular care, while maintaining maximum patient safety and comfort.Performs/reviews a baseline patient assessment, and evaluates patient response to diagnostic cardiacprocedures. Proficient in the operation and maintenance, as specified by the manufacturer, of alldiagnostic and therapeutic equipment used for procedures in the specific area of operation.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma/G.E.D. Required
  • Graduate of a diploma, associate, or baccalaureate academic program inhealth science (including, but not limited to, cardiovascular technology, ultrasound, radiologic technology, respiratory therapy, or nursing) or graduate of aprogrammatically accredited program in cardiac ultrasound (echocardiography)
  • Basic Life Support American HeartAssociation Required
  • Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer Required
  • Currently registered as American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonographers as a Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) or via CCI as a Registered CardiacSonographer (RCS)

Nice To Haves

  • Associate Degree Preferred
  • One year of experience in cardiac ultrasound (echocardiography), preferred

Responsibilities
