About The Position

The Thom and Lisa Mandel Early Childhood Education Program at the Shaw JCC is seeking a seasoned, experienced, and passionate full-time Lead Teacher to join their exceptional team in a 2-year-old classroom. Requirements

• Holds a minimum of a Child Development Associate (CDA) credential (Associate's degree or higher in Early Childhood Education preferred).
• Has experience teaching in a toddler classroom.
• Understands child development and creates meaningful, engaging, and developmentally appropriate experiences for 2-year-olds.
• Enjoys collaborating with a teaching partner and contributing to a positive team culture.
• Communicates effectively with children, families, and colleagues.
• Is organized, dependable, flexible, and brings a positive attitude each day.

Nice To Haves

• Associate's degree or higher in Early Childhood Education

Responsibilities

• Partner with the lead teacher to create a nurturing, engaging, and inclusive classroom environment.
• Plan and implement developmentally appropriate curriculum and hands-on learning experiences.
• Build strong relationships with children and families.
• Maintain a safe, organized, and welcoming classroom.
• Follow all Ohio Department of Job and Family Services (ODJFS) licensing rules and regulations, along with all Mandel ECE and Shaw JCC policies and procedures.
• Contribute to a professional, collaborative team committed to excellence in early childhood education.
