Preschool Lead Teachers are responsible for direct interaction with the children in games, activities and free play, along with ensuring the general health, welfare and well-being of each child as well as some lesson planning. Lead teachers need to be active participants with the children enrolled; and effective communicators with parents, children, supervisors and co-workers.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or GED
  • Minimum age is 18 years and older
  • 6 months experience in licensed preschool setting is required
  • Patient
  • Good with children
  • Good communication skills
  • Flexible
  • Works well with others

Nice To Haves

  • Early childhood education courses preferred or a Child Development Certificate
  • Child Development Associate (CDA) credential
  • Degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Psychology, or other relevant degree preferred

Responsibilities
