About The Position

The Shift Production Lead is responsible for the control process, operators, and communication and support of their applicable production line(s) or area. This role involves reviewing process data daily, ensuring machines run at established standard cycle times and cavitation, and adhering to standards for resin, regrind, PCR, and additive consumption. The lead will maintain quality standards, a clean working environment, and assist in training other EBM operators, material handlers, and packers. Key responsibilities include maintaining EBM lines, changing cutters and anvils, fixing leaks, changing PHD and knockouts, stringing the wheel, and loading resin. The role also involves 5s, maintaining spare parts, assisting in downstream repairs, process verification, maintaining the hydraulic system of the wheel, performing daily grinder safety inspections, maintaining dust collection systems, and managing scrap/purge/drool. Troubleshooting heaters, thermocouples, flow tubes, and dust collectors, as well as performing screen changes, are also part of the duties. The EBM Production Lead provides support to maintenance staff with EBM Grinders and other equipment, completes downtime reports and error logs, communicates technical issues to supervisors and engineers, maintains Tier Boards, and provides relief to other positions within the EBM department.

Requirements

Experience with EBM (Extrusion Blow Molding) operations.
Ability to review process data daily.
Knowledge of standard cycle times and cavitations.
Understanding of resin, regrind, PCR, and additive consumption standards.
Ability to maintain quality standards.
Ability to maintain a clean working environment and adhere to GMP.
Willingness to assist in training.
Experience with changing cutters and anvils.
Experience fixing water leaks.
Experience fixing air leaks.
Experience changing PHD.
Experience changing knockouts.
Experience stringing the wheel.
Experience starting and stopping the EBM Wheel.
Experience with resin loading to EBM lines.
Knowledge of 5s principles.
Ability to maintain spare parts inventory.
Willingness to assist in downstream repairs and efficiency.
Ability to perform process verification.
Knowledge of hydraulic systems.
Ability to perform daily grinder safety inspections.
Ability to maintain dust collection system.
Experience with scrap/purge/drool upkeep.
Experience maintaining and troubleshooting heaters, thermocouples, flow tubes, dust collectors.

Manage scrap/purge/drool upkeep.
Maintain and troubleshoot heaters, thermocouples, flow tubes, dust collectors, etc.
Perform screen changes.
Provide support to maintenance staff with EBM Grinders and other equipment.
Complete downtime reports and error logs for EBM wheel data.
Communicate technical issues to Supervisor, Process Engineer and Production Manager.
Maintain Tier Boards.
Provide relief to other positions within the EBM department.
