EBA&D products and capabilities set the U.S. standard and are highly sought after in the international community. EBA&D seeks a Lab Technician. This position is located in Graham, Ky.

Requirements

  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree (preferred) in: Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Materials Science or related technical discipline
  • 1-3 years of laboratory experience preferred
  • Experience with analytical instrumentation strongly preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of basic chemistry principles and laboratory techniques.
  • Ability to follow detailed written procedures precisely.
  • Strong documentation and data integrity practices.
  • Proficiency in basic computer systems and laboratory data entry.
  • Mechanical aptitude for physical testing equipment.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a cross-functional team.
  • Comfortable working in dynamic and safety-sensitive manufacturing environment.
  • Ability to work in laboratory and indoor and outdoor production test environments.
  • May require lifting up to 50 Lbs.
  • Use of PPE required (safety glasses, lab coat, gloves, etc.).
  • Requires working with energetic/explosive materials under controlled conditions

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in a regulated manufacturing environment (aerospace, defense, chemical, or similar) is a plus.
  • Experience working with hazardous or energetic materials is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Execute mechanical and functional tests, including Tensile (pull strength), Function / Output / Timing, Electrostatic Discharge (ESD), Water pressure, Temperature conditioning.
  • Perform standard wet chemistry analyses in accordance with approved test methods and procedures.
  • Operate and maintain analytical instrumentation, including: Gas Chromatography (GC), High Performance Liquid Chromatography (HPLC), Differential Scanning Calorimetry (DSC), Elemental Analyzer (CHN).
  • Prepare samples, reagents, and calibration standards.
  • Analyze data and documents results in laboratory systems and test reports.
  • Troubleshoot routine analytical issues and escalate complex problems as needed.
  • Support internal, external, and regulatory audits as required.
  • Assist with method validation, calibration activities, and continuous improvement activities.
  • Strictly follow all laboratory and explosive safety protocols.
  • Properly handle hazardous and energetic materials.
  • Participate in required safety and compliance training.
