Requirements

Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree (preferred) in: Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Materials Science or related technical discipline
1-3 years of laboratory experience preferred
Experience with analytical instrumentation strongly preferred.
Strong knowledge of basic chemistry principles and laboratory techniques.
Ability to follow detailed written procedures precisely.
Strong documentation and data integrity practices.
Proficiency in basic computer systems and laboratory data entry.
Mechanical aptitude for physical testing equipment.
Ability to work independently and as part of a cross-functional team.
Comfortable working in dynamic and safety-sensitive manufacturing environment.
Ability to work in laboratory and indoor and outdoor production test environments.
May require lifting up to 50 Lbs.
Use of PPE required (safety glasses, lab coat, gloves, etc.).
Requires working with energetic/explosive materials under controlled conditions

Nice To Haves

Experience in a regulated manufacturing environment (aerospace, defense, chemical, or similar) is a plus.
Experience working with hazardous or energetic materials is a plus.

Responsibilities

Execute mechanical and functional tests, including Tensile (pull strength), Function / Output / Timing, Electrostatic Discharge (ESD), Water pressure, Temperature conditioning.
Perform standard wet chemistry analyses in accordance with approved test methods and procedures.
Operate and maintain analytical instrumentation, including: Gas Chromatography (GC), High Performance Liquid Chromatography (HPLC), Differential Scanning Calorimetry (DSC), Elemental Analyzer (CHN).
Prepare samples, reagents, and calibration standards.
Analyze data and documents results in laboratory systems and test reports.
Troubleshoot routine analytical issues and escalate complex problems as needed.
Support internal, external, and regulatory audits as required.
Assist with method validation, calibration activities, and continuous improvement activities.
Strictly follow all laboratory and explosive safety protocols.
Properly handle hazardous and energetic materials.
Participate in required safety and compliance training.
