About The Position

St. Louis Behavioral Medicine Institute (SLBMI) is seeking Licensed Professional Counselors and Licensed Clinical Social Workers with expertise and a passion in the area of Eating Disorders. We are committed to growth and are always looking to hire exceptional talent to join our team of dedicated healthcare professionals. Local Candidates in MO are preferred, but not required. We are open to eligible candidates located outside of the St. Louis region who may be interested in joining our team through providing telehealth services. Interested candidates for this option must be professionally licensed in Missouri as well as professionally licensed in the state they are sitting in. Our clinicians enjoy the aspects of being an independent provider that are appealing, while having the administrative and operational support to manage everything else that you need as a provider. Our dedicated and multidisciplinary team of 70+ colleagues are willing to share their clinical expertise for case consultation, continuing education, and program development. The Eating Disorders Program is a comprehensive treatment program for Anorexia Nervosa, Bulimia Nervosa, Binge Eating Disorders, Emotional Overeating, Compulsive Exercising, and more. You would have the opportunity to carry your own caseload of outpatients, as well as provide behavioral health treatment within our Eating Disorders Intensive Outpatient Program. We encourage applicants who have additional subspecialty interests and training. We also allow for tailoring of your caseload, according to your expertise and competencies.

Requirements

  • Master’s or doctoral degree in a clinical mental health field (e.g. MSW, Professional Counselor, Ph.D).
  • Fully licensed by the State of Missouri to practice independently.
  • Credentialed-eligible for managed care panels in Missouri.
  • Professionally licensed in Missouri (if providing telehealth).
  • Professionally licensed in the state they are sitting in (if providing telehealth).

Nice To Haves

  • Experience treating adults within eating disorders, specifically within CBT or DBT.

Responsibilities

  • Carry your own caseload of outpatients.
  • Provide behavioral health treatment within our Eating Disorders Intensive Outpatient Program.
  • Share clinical expertise for case consultation, continuing education, and program development.
  • Participate in weekly training seminars as well as longer, more formal training seminars that occur several times per year.
  • Potentially provide telehealth services if located outside the St. Louis region.
