About The Position

Dondlinger Construction Company is seeking an experienced Earthwork Foreman to lead an earthwork/heavy equipment crew. This role involves ensuring the successful completion of daily tasks and quality projects, working closely with the general superintendent to meet production goals, and collaborating with sub-contractors. The foreman will also be responsible for adhering to company safety policies and assisting workers with various labor-based tasks, including heavy lifting. Other duties will be assigned by the Division Manager.

Requirements

Proven ability to lead others, by skill, leadership qualities and work ethic.
Strong understanding of heavy equipment operation and general best practices.
Substantial experience in leading earthwork and heavy equipment teams.
Willingness to work alongside crew and set the pace.
Strong understanding of construction methods, means, materials.
Ability to read plans, specifications, schedules and to foresee potential challenges.
Knowledge of and strict adherence to OSHA Construction Standards.
Able to stoop, kneel, balance and crawl frequently.
Ability to lift 25-75+ lbs. occasionally.

Nice To Haves

Experience with GPS-guided equipment (Trimble) is highly preferred.
Experience using automatic levels and laser systems preferred.
Ability to service and inspect heavy equipment is preferred.

Responsibilities

Lead an earthwork/heavy equipment crew to the successful completion of daily tasks and quality projects.
Work closely with general superintendent to meet or exceed daily production goals through planning and productivity of the workforce.
Work closely with sub-contractors and give direction as needed.
Know company safety policies and adhere to them while working at all times.
Assist workers in various labor-based tasks.
Perform other miscellaneous duties as directed by the Division Manager.
