About The Position

Halliburton is seeking a geoscience and technology professional to serve as a Product Specialist for its Earth Modeling software portfolio. This role is part of the Subsurface software development technical business line and reports to the Earth Modeling Domain Owner. The position is based in Houston, USA, with potential travel up to 15%. The role involves providing solutions for subsurface challenges using earth modeling technologies and requires industry experience applying earth modeling workflows to real-world examples. Experience in software development and commercialization is a plus. The Product Analyst will collaborate with the Domain Owner, Product Owner, and external stakeholders to define and manage the earth modeling solution strategy, roadmap, and commercialization model. They will also work with scrum teams to define stories, acceptance criteria, and prioritize the backlog. Additionally, the role involves supporting Sales & Marketing with go-to-market and sales-strategy materials, preparing regional channels for new software releases, conducting external product demos and presentations, and building customer relationships. The Product Specialist will work with Product Owners and the development group to meet software delivery milestones using an agile scrum approach. Finally, the role includes participating in professional societies, producing technical journal articles, and promoting Halliburton earth modeling through thought leadership.

Requirements

• Proficient earth modeler with experience using technologies to provide solutions for subsurface challenges.
• Industry experience applying earth modeling workflows and technologies to real world examples.
• Undergraduate degree in the geosciences or equivalent.
• 7+ years of experience in oil and gas.
• Solid knowledge of Geostatistical Modeling with a minimum 5 years of experience in applications to oil and gas reservoir modeling.
