About The Position

Lead and elevate high-quality early years programming by empowering educators, supporting families, and ensuring safe, engaging environments where children thrive. Drive operational excellence across multiple programs while shaping a positive, values-driven culture for both staff and the communities you serve. This role is ideal for an adaptable, confident leader who is passionate about early childhood development and excels at supporting teams, managing multiple priorities, and fostering safe, inclusive, and high-quality childcare environments. In this role you will be responsible for overseeing daily operations, leading multiple childcare programs and staff, ensuring regulatory compliance, and supporting high-quality care and family engagement across the department.

Requirements

  • Valid BC Early Childhood Educator (ECE) Certification is required
  • 2+ years of experience working in licensed childcare or early years settings
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Teams, Excel) and general administrative systems
  • Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel between program locations
  • Current First Aid/CPR Certification (or willingness to obtain)
  • Three professional references
  • A satisfactory Criminal Record Check Check/Vulnerable Sector Search. The YMCA will provide applicable instructions and paperwork.
