About The Position

The Early Years English Teacher works across Chinese, French, and German bilingual classrooms to inspire a foundational love for learning. They facilitate learning by establishing relationships with students and by organizing learning resources and the classroom environment. They develop and foster appropriate skills and social abilities for optimal child development, according to age, ability, and aptitude. They assess and record progress, documenting the learning journey, and link students' knowledge to earlier learning, encouraging further development. PYP Teachers challenge and inspire students to deepen their knowledge and understanding. This role requires commitment to INTL’s mission and the population served, experience teaching at the Elementary school level, and responsibility, self-motivation, friendliness, willingness to work in a team, and adaptability to a multicultural environment. The position involves teaching through inquiry according to the PYP framework, ensuring foundational skill acquisition, and extensive collaboration with Chinese, English, French, and German program teachers. Time for collaboration is built into the schedule. INTL seeks teachers who combine academic rigor with student engagement and have experience with inquiry-based teaching and learning. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Minimum 2 years of teaching experience
  • Authorization to work in the United States or the ability to meet requirements for a sponsored J-1 teacher exchange visa
  • Experience working with Early Years school-aged children
