About The Position

The Marina Nursery School by Storal is located on the University of Lincoln campus and thrives on strong relationships with families, students, and the wider community. Our beautifully designed spaces create a stimulating and engaging environment that supports every child’s development. Set beside the Brayford Pool, our children enjoy daily moments of wonder as they observe ducks, ducklings, and swans, connecting deeply with the natural world right outside our doors. This role involves providing cover for children as and when needed, which could be for periods of holiday, sickness, or vacancy gaps. Support may be for a full day, or just a morning or afternoon session. Pivoting when circumstances call for it is a regular occurrence in child care. Creativity is key, and teaching young children allows for hands-on arts and crafts, storytelling, exercise, and educational games. Activities should be kept fresh and new to keep attention spans engaged, while working within the EYFS standards.

Requirements

  • Ideally hold a Level 2 or above qualified, Early Years Educator / Practitioner / Nursery Nurse or similar.
  • Enjoy supporting and encouraging the natural curiosity and excitement of young children.
  • Have a natural, nurturing, openness, a warm and positive outlook.
  • Care about learning and education standards in the UK.
  • A full and relevant Level 2 or above qualification within early years.
  • Reflect the Storal values around responsibility, openness and working together.
  • Complete through compliance checks prior to employment including employment references & DBS.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience as an Early Years Educator (Nursery Nurse/Practitioner) or having worked with children under the age of 5.
  • Knowledge and understanding of the EYFS.
