About The Position

This role is responsible for maintaining the overall look and feel of the store, including cleanliness and recovery standards, to deliver Brand Promises. The team member will provide friendly customer service, assist customers in finding products, and handle trash and floor cleaning according to approved procedures. This position involves deep cleaning of key store areas to ensure a clean and safe environment for customers and staff, maintaining cleaning equipment, and notifying supervisors of supply needs. The role also includes completing assigned tasks, performing tasks in accordance with federal, state, and county guidelines, and maintaining positive interactions with team members and customers. Additional duties may include providing a fast and friendly checkout experience, executing cash handling, engaging customers in loyalty programs, assisting with omnichannel processes (BOPIS, SFS), participating in truck unloads, stocking, and planogram processes, and supporting shrink and safety programs. Adherence to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Company programs is required.

Requirements

  • Retail and/or cleaning experience preferred
  • Ability to remain standing for long periods of time
  • Ability to move throughout the store
  • Regular bending, lifting, carrying, reaching and stretching
  • Lifting heavy boxes and accessing high shelves by ladder or similar equipment
  • Applicants in the U.S. must satisfy federal, state, and local legal requirements of the job.
  • Must be at least sixteen (16) years or older.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain a high standard of overall look and feel of the store, including cleanliness and recovery standards.
  • Deliver friendly customer service and assist customers.
  • Collect and dispose of trash following approved procedures.
  • Dust and damp mop floors following approved procedures.
  • Move equipment and products for proper cleaning and place products back in correct placement.
  • Clean assigned areas with the use of assigned materials and equipment.
  • Mix water and detergents in containers to prepare cleaning solutions.
  • Deep clean key areas of the store including bathrooms, breakrooms, entry ways and other high traffic areas.
  • Keep cleaning equipment neat and orderly and notify supervisor of supply needs.
  • Seek out areas requiring cleaning and take initiative to complete the task.
  • Complete all tasks assigned by supervisor.
  • Perform tasks in accordance with all federal, state and county guidelines.
  • Maintain positive and respectful interactions with both team members and customers.
  • Project a positive image and serve as a role model.
  • Provide a fast and friendly check out experience.
  • Execute cash handling to standards.
  • Engage customers on benefits of Rewards program and Private Label Credit Cards and complete enrollments.
  • Assist with Omni channel processes, including Buy Online Pickup in Store (BOPIS) and Ship from Store (SFS).
  • Participate in the truck un-load, stocking, and planogram (POGs) processes.
  • Support shrink and safety programs.
  • Adhere to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Company programs.
  • Execute Company policies and standards.
