About The Position

The Bread Baker’s role is to mix, proof, cut and bake our flagship item- STECCA daily using the best possible ingredients for customers to enjoy the best possible eating experience. We are looking for someone who loves being the reason the store smells amazing when customers walk in, can measure, mix, and bake with precision—even before the sun comes up, and wants to work where they can be themselves while having fun.

Requirements

• Must be 18 years of age or older
• Must be available for a variety of early morning shifts such as 3:00 am- 11:00 am as well as weekends
• Must possess a passion for local food and an interest in telling the story behind it.
• Must conduct oneself in an honest, professional and respectful manner at all times.
• Must possess a love of people, interact with people well, and possess a desire for excellent customer service.
• Able to take direction, work independently, and as a member of a team, and able to create working relationships.
• Must be highly motivated, hard working, and possess a positive, enthusiastic attitude.
• Must pay attention to details, be organized, and able to handle multiple priorities simultaneously.

Responsibilities

• Produces Swamp baked goods including: baking, mixing, scaling, portioning recipes and following proper weight standards
• Follows daily checklists to prepare and bake a variety of unique baked goods
• Mixes, rolls, and proofs dough using industry standard equipment
• Follows proper time and temperature guidelines to ensure a quality bake each time
• Sorts, assembles, and packs pastries for cafe use, store sales, or catering and wholesale orders
• Puts the final touches on baked goods to be packaged and put out for retail sales
