About The Position

Puget Sound Educational Service District seeks highly qualified Union Teachers to join our team of educators and work in strong collaborative partnership with the classroom teaching teams. Job duties include collaboration with the teaching teams, providing developmentally appropriate integrated curriculum that meets the needs of the classroom community. Requirements

  • Teacher Preschool - Minimum Qualifications AA or Higher in ECE, with experience teaching preschool-age children; OR Current Washington State Teaching Certificate with endorsement in ECE (PreK-grade 3) or Early Childhood Special Education; OR AA or higher degree in a related field with 20 credits in ECE and 9 months experience in preschool classroom
  • Early childhood experience in a childcare center, child development center, or preschool program
  • Teacher, Infant/Toddler - Minimum Qualifications AA or higher in a related field with Infant toddler coursework and 12 months experience with children 0-5; OR a current Infant/Toddler CDA and 12 months experience working with children 0-5; OR a current Preschool CDA credential from the Council for Professional Recognition with infant/toddler coursework and 12 months experience with children 0-5 years; OR an ECE initial certificate with infant/toddler coursework and 12 months experience with children 0-5
  • Early childhood experience in a childcare center, child development center, or preschool program

Nice To Haves

  • Teacher Preschool - Preferred Qualifications Early Head Start, Head Start, or other comprehensive child development/family support program experience
  • Experience working with children birth to 5 who are from diverse backgrounds
  • Teacher Infant/Toddler - Preferred Qualifications Early Head Start, Head Start, or other comprehensive child development/family support program experience
