About The Position

Ninety percent of a child’s brain development happens before the age of 5, and we’re on a mission to help our youngest learners start strong! Join Early Learning Corps as an Early Learning Tutor and you’ll spend your days in a pre-kindergarten classroom to help students build skills and confidence. We’ll train you to deliver proven activities and coach you every step of the way! Partnering with a teacher, you’ll help enhance learning. Whether talking, reading, writing, singing, or playing with students, you’ll be helping them to build early literacy and math skills. With the extra attention and support, you'll make an incredible impact and help ignite a love of learning!

Requirements

• Dependable and have a history of good attendance
• Able to follow instructions and make improvements based on feedback
• Proficient in basic computer skills (like email and navigating online)
• Fluent in English for speaking, reading, and writing
• 18 years of age or older with a high school diploma or equivalent
• A citizen, national, or lawful permanent resident of the United States
• Able to successfully complete a background check

Responsibilities

• Be a caring adult who's focused on helping students thrive
• Support preschoolers with learning activities throughout the day
• Track student progress and meet regularly with the school's on-site coach
• Conduct skill assessments and enter student scores into tracking software
• Commit to your own growth through coaching and training
• Share your experience with community
