About The Position

Early Learning Corps is on a mission to help young learners start strong by providing support in pre-kindergarten classrooms. As an Early Learning Tutor, you will partner with a teacher to enhance learning by helping students build early literacy and math skills through activities like talking, reading, writing, singing, and playing. The role involves providing extra attention and support to students, aiming to ignite a love of learning and make a significant impact on their development. The program offers training and ongoing coaching to tutors.

Requirements

• Dependable and have a history of good attendance
• Able to follow instructions and make improvements based on feedback
• Proficient in basic computer skills (like email and navigating online)
• Fluent in English for speaking, reading, and writing
• 18 years of age or older with a high school diploma or equivalent
• A citizen, national, or lawful permanent resident of the United States
• Able to successfully complete a background check

Responsibilities

• Be a caring adult who's focused on helping students thrive
• Support preschoolers with learning activities throughout the day
• Track student progress and meet regularly with the school's on-site coach
• Conduct skill assessments and enter student scores into tracking software
• Commit to your own growth through coaching and training
• Share your experience with the community
