We are now hiring for full-time Early Learning Floater Teacher to join our DuPage Early Learning Team! This role is responsible for supporting a team approach to planning and implementing program activities. The Floater Teacher collaborates with Family Support Workers, Teachers, Program Aides, site partners, and site supervisors for the betterment of the classroom and families. They participate in ongoing CLASS implementation and monitoring, guide and facilitate activities of the children, and ensure appropriate child guidance and discipline and proper ratios are maintained at all times. The position also involves using Teaching Strategies Gold for documentation and communication with families, implementing the program’s Planned Language Approach, conducting education home visits, maintaining accurate teacher and child files, ensuring transportation safety procedures are followed, and completing CACFP documents. The Floater Teacher builds positive relationships with parents, volunteers, and other staff, works with site supervisors and family support workers regarding children with disabilities, and conducts or oversees screenings of all children. They ensure the curriculum is used with fidelity, including individualization for all children and accommodations for IEPs and IFSPs. The role provides a supportive, caring, and safe environment for children, utilizing the playground as an extension of the classroom and ensuring active supervision at all times. Home visiting services are provided to maintain services to families when needed. The Floater Teacher also assists in the development of the agency’s annual program self-assessment and participates in program recruitment efforts.
