Requirements

  • A bachelor's degree in one of the following: Early Childhood Education, Special Education, Elementary Education, Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy or Speech/Language Pathology, Nursing, Psychology, Sociology
  • A minimum of one-year of experience working with 0-5 year olds
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, and assist individuals as needed
  • Ability to perform essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodation

Responsibilities

  • Direct the daily activities of adolescent males in programming utilizing acceptable behavioral management principles.
  • Exercise independent judgment in crisis situations.
  • Training and support
  • Enhancing child engagement in daily activities
  • Identifying and incorporating developmental strategies in daily routines
  • Providing functional independence and social interaction
  • Collaboration: Discuss issues important to the family and provide all information and resources they will need to reach goals and milestones.
  • Assessment: Discuss issues important to the family and provide all information and resources they will need to reach goals and milestones.
  • Individualized Planning: Address the IFSP (Individual Family Support Plan) outcomes by building upon the family's strengths and guide them to maximizing learning opportunities for their child within the context of their daily routines.
  • Provides individual developmental therapy sessions
  • Participates and collaborates in IFSP meetings
  • Administrative: Complete all documentation as required by SRVS, Funder, licensing/accreditation entities.
