About The Position

T & K Pediatric Services is currently seeking a passionate and dedicated Early Intervention Specialist to join our team. As an Early Intervention Specialist, you will play a vital role in assessing and supporting the developmental needs of infants and young children who are at risk of or experiencing developmental delays or disabilities.

Requirements

  • Minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Early Childhood Education, Early Childhood Special Education, Special Education, Speech Pathology
  • Proven experience working with infants and young children with developmental delays or disabilities.
  • Knowledge of early childhood development and the principles of early intervention.
  • Strong assessment and diagnostic skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Exceptional organizational and time management abilities.
  • Proficiency in using computers and technology for documentation purposes.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct evaluations and assessments to identify developmental delays or disabilities in infants and young children.
  • Provide direct early intervention services to children, focusing on individualized goals and objectives.
  • Develop and implement comprehensive treatment plans to address the specific needs of each child.
  • Collaborate with families, caregivers, and other professionals to ensure coordinated and consistent care.
  • Monitor and evaluate the progress of children through regular assessments and adjust treatment plans as necessary.
  • Provide guidance, education, and support to families on strategies to support their child's development at home and in their community.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed records of assessments, treatment plans, progress notes, and other relevant documentation.
  • Stay up to date with the latest research and best practices in early intervention and implement evidence-based strategies in your work.
  • Participate in team meetings, case conferences, and professional development activities to enhance your skills and knowledge in the field.
  • Adhere to ethical and professional standards of practice and maintain confidentiality at all times.
