Requirements

Experience in early childhood education, childcare, or a related field preferred
Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or Child Development a plus
Knowledge of developmentally appropriate practices (DAP) and early learning standards
Strong communication, patience, and interpersonal skills
Ability to pass a background check and meet RI DCYF licensing requirements
CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
Warm, energetic, and team-oriented demeanor

Responsibilities

Implement age-appropriate curriculum and daily activities that support early childhood development
Foster a safe, inclusive, and nurturing classroom environment for all children
Monitor and document individual child progress, milestones, and developmental goals
Communicate regularly and effectively with parents and guardians regarding child development
Maintain a clean, organized, and stimulating classroom space
Collaborate with fellow educators and staff to ensure program consistency and quality
Follow all licensing regulations, health, and safety protocols
