About The Position

Babilou Family US is opening a new early childhood education school in Boston, MA, in Fall 2026, located at Harvard’s Enterprise Research Center (ERC). This flagship location aims to provide high-quality early learning within an innovation district, serving children and families in the ERC community. The school will focus on fostering children's curiosity, development, and a lifelong love of learning, while also being a resource for families working in the area. As an Early Educator, you will contribute to a safe, nurturing, and sustainable learning environment, implementing meaningful learning experiences, maintaining an organized and eco-minded classroom, and fostering respectful relationships. This role is ideal for individuals passionate about early learning, teamwork, and incorporating sustainable education practices.

Requirements

  • Must pass required state and company background checks.
  • Must have a high school diploma, GED, or be enrolled in classes.
  • EEC teacher certification or requirements completed to be submitted for review (for roles requiring EEC Certification).
  • Adhere to all company policies and EEC regulations.
  • Ability to stand, move, run, and play for most of the day.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds multiple times a day.

Responsibilities

  • Craft a classroom culture grounded in respect, exploration, and sustainable learning practices.
  • Integrate meaningful curriculum experiences that connect children to the natural world and promote responsible decision-making.
  • Maintain an organized, safe, and eco-minded learning environment.
  • Strengthen family communication and community involvement.
  • Support ongoing educator growth and classroom quality through continuous reflection, training, and collaboration.
  • Design and implement daily lesson plans and learning experiences aligned with developmentally appropriate practice and sustainable education principles.
  • Lead classroom organization and routines that promote environmental responsibility, mindful material use, and stewardship habits.
  • Model best practices for the teaching team and ensure high-quality instructional delivery.
  • Supervise children during learning activities, meals, transitions, and outdoor exploration that fosters connection to nature and hands-on learning.
  • Serve as a Mandated Reporter in accordance with state law, maintaining full responsibility to recognize, document, and immediately report any suspected child abuse, neglect, or endangerment.
  • Support each child’s developmental needs, using observation and documentation to guide instruction and promote holistic growth.
  • Build strong, trusting relationships with families through consistent, professional, and sustainability-minded communication practices.
  • Lead or participate in conferences, family events, and community learning opportunities that strengthen family involvement.
  • Maintain all required certifications and participate in ongoing training, including sustainability-focused professional learning.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to strengthen classroom systems, curriculum implementation, and the school’s sustainability initiatives.
  • Coach and support Assistant Teachers in instructional practices and environmentally responsible classroom routines.
