About The Position

This position works with families entering the educational pipeline to overcome barriers impacting student success. The role involves case management for at-risk students and families, providing crisis prevention and intervention services, assessing family needs, and linking families to resources. The Case Manager will also support English as a New Language (ENL) students and families, maintain data and records, use data to drive decisions, build relationships with community partners, collaborate with the EVSC Comprehensive Counseling Team, support Site Councils at Full Service Community Schools, and serve as a liaison between schools, families, and community partners. Regular attendance is required.

Requirements

  • High school degree or GED required.
  • Experience in the area of social work, education or related field required.
  • Ability to demonstrate cultural competence in understanding of and responsiveness to diverse cultures and backgrounds to fully serve students and families.
  • Ability to apply knowledge of current research and theory in specific field.
  • Ability to establish and effective working relationships with staff and the school community.
  • Ability to speak clearly and concisely both in oral and written communication.
  • Ability to perform duties with awareness of all district requirements and Board of School Trustees policies.
  • Work collaboratively with EVSC employees, vendors and community partners in a teamwork-driven environment

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a liaison between schools, families and community partners.
  • Maintain regular attendance.
