About The Position

BASIS is seeking an Early Education Teacher to join its team in the Austin Metro area. BASIS Curriculum Schools are nationally ranked and provide students with an education intended to prepare them according to rigorous international standards. The teacher evaluates students’ academic and social growth, maintains records, prepares progress reports, and communicates with parents about student progress. The role also involves identifying student needs, collaborating with professional staff to address student concerns, providing differentiated instruction, and implementing IEPs and 504 Plans. Additional duties include substitute and duty coverage, supervising transitions, and occasionally representing BASIS Ed Texas at school-wide community events outside typical school hours.

Requirements

• Be eligible to work in Texas Public Schools.
• Have a bachelor’s degree in Education or a related subject.
• Be able to obtain a valid fingerprint clearance through TEA.

Nice To Haves

• A minimum of 3 years of experience as an elementary educator.
• A master’s degree in Education or a related subject.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate students’ academic and social growth, maintain appropriate records, and prepare progress reports.
• Communicate with parents by email, conferences, and other means to discuss student progress.
• Identify student needs and cooperate with Subject Experts or other professional staff in assessing and helping students address health, attitude, and learning problems.
• Provide differentiated instruction and execute IEPs and 504 Plans with fidelity.
• Provide substitute and duty coverage as needed.
• Supervise students during classroom transitions throughout the day.
• Occasionally represent BASIS Ed Texas at designated school-wide community events outside typical school hours.
